Sacred Scripture tells us that we are to “bear one another’s burdens.” Being the Body of Christ includes attending to both communal support and advocacy for works of justice and mercy. Being active in our community as witnesses to the transforming and reconciling love of Jesus is foundational to who we are as followers of Jesus.
The Outreach Committee meets monthly and coordinates our various outreach initiatives, some of which include: providing for students and families of Columbia Elementary School, the Interfaith Hospitality Network, Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity, and our Little Library and Pantry. We also make sandwich lunches on the first Sunday of each month for Springs Rescue Mission. Grace Gardeners are passionate in their work to beautify our campus and plant vegetables to provide fresh produce for those who are food insecure.
Part of what it means to be the Church is that we are a part of God’s beloved community, and we always love a good party or event. Fun and fellowship are essential parts of the joy of the Gospel. We have various neighborhood gatherings and affinity groups that meet for fellowship. Details are available about such offerings in our weekly email. Each Sunday after worship, we gather for coffee and refreshments in Parish Hall—a great way to get to know one another. We also have an active Pride group.
The Community of Hope International is a lay pastoral care ministry grounded in a Benedictine approach. We have several members who work alongside our clergy in providing for the pastoral and spiritual care of our members. If you would like to speak to someone further about receiving pastoral care, please contact our Rector, Father Robert.
Wanting to be a sacred space for all and valuing the gift of diversity, we have a Sensory Room available for those who need a separate and quieter space. While all are welcome in worship to be present fully as themselves, this space is open to those who need a break in a different environment with their caregiver. We also have a monthly Eucharist (3rd Saturday at 5pm) intended for families with Special Needs. You can contact Father Robert for more information or to get connected with these resources.
Many of our members belong to various religious orders within The Episcopal Church. You may see members wearing habits on Sundays, which is a sign of their monastic vows and commitment to a life of prayer and service.

Our guiding principles of beauty, wisdom, and witness are based on a three-dimensional sense of faith. Beauty is an upward orientation to God. Wisdom is an inward focus on spiritual growth. Witness is an outward priority on serving others in the name of Christ.
